The Olcott Park Brewfest, an annual tradition in Virginia to help maintain the historic Olcott Park Fountain and park, was held without the fountain or the park on Saturday evening because of the threat of heavy thunderstorms. The festival moved indoors to the Iron Trail Motors Event Center and brought all the fun, including samples of craft beers, wines, and ciders, food, and music that people expect.

The Olcott Park Brewfest, now in its ninth year, began in 2017 to help repair the iconic park fountain, originally installed in 1937, and has since become a summer highlight each August; the funds raised go to park improvements, maintenance, and community outdoor activities.

Cases of beer are stacked up ready for thirsty visitors attending Saturday evening’s annual Olcott Park Brewfest.

The festival features samples from a large selection of Minnesota breweries, along with ciders and wines. Live music, this year provided by Vitamin Brown, and food trucks round out the night.
