One hundred and fifty Hibbing High School seniors walked one at a time through the historic high school auditorium Friday night smiling and waving at their friends and families filling the seats to help celebrate the Class of 2026 as they finished their high school career.

The traditional ceremony started with Pomp and Circumstance during the processional then transitioned to a Native American honor song which honored the school’s Native American students and the traditional heritage of the area.

The High School choir filled the chamber with music before welcome speeches by Superintendent Carrie McDonald, School Principal Derek Gabardi and history teacher Dana Lindstrom followed by student speakers Crystal Griffith, Ray Himle, Kenedi Koland and Jaiden Touchstone.
