The Abandoned Building was Damaged by Fire in 2016
The former Abel Chiropractic building on the 400 block of Howard Street in Hibbing was demolished Wednesday as part of the 400 Block Redevelopment Project led by the Hibbing Economic Development Authority.
The building suffered extensive damage from a fire in 2016 and sat vacant and dilapidated for years. The site will be converted to a shovel-ready property for redevelopment. Traffic was diverted Wednesday evening for safety as a demolition crew took the abandoned building apart piece by piece.
