Families Gather in Hibbing and Eveleth
Halloween was on full display across the Iron Range Saturday with holiday events, carnivals, games, and city-sponsored trunk-or-treat events, including city-sponsored parties around the Hibbing City Hall and both inside and outside the Eveleth Community Building.
Families in costume filled the historic city hall grounds in Hibbing, collecting bags of candy and lining up along the sidewalks, moving from community- and business-sponsored candy stops. The Hibbing Fire Department was also on hand to welcome children and offer tours of their trucks.
Across the Range in Eveleth, the city made good use of its new community center with trick-or-treating in the parking lot and haunted games and activities, including bounce houses, dance parties, and a fortune teller inside.
Hibbing and Eveleth weren’t alone in getting into the Halloween spirit. Towns and civic groups across the region gave children a fun experience prior to hitting the neighborhoods for trick-or-treating.
