The St. Louis County Fair opened its gates Wednesday afternoon to kick off the “Five Best Days of Summer”. The Activity got underway before the gates opened to the public, with judging in the 4-H barn, livestock pens, and the arts and crafts building.
Finishing touches went on the midway rides, game booths, and food trucks while 4-H members got to work washing and brushing their horses, goats, pigs, and poultry. The midway lights switched on Wednesday evening and will provide plenty of fun and excitement through Sunday August 9.
Thursday August 7 will bring live music by Blind Joe and The Amazing Charles, a lumberjack camp, Pork Chop Feed, and the Bucking Bulls Rodeo Night. The midway runs until close at 11:00. Friday August 8 will feature the ATV Big Air Tour stunt show, and more action in the 4-H arenas and barns.
